2011.02.15 TuesdayJust wanted to write a quick hello to everyone. Well, it's 2011 already, and we had a great party last month. Thanks to all those that joined us. Especially all the new students! Welcome!As we move on, I would like to say a special Happy Birthday to my lovely wife, Yuka, who turns 40 this month. Love you so much!Also to my dear mother whose birthday was on the 13th! Happy Birthday Mum!!!And as I move ever closer to the big 40 myself, I wanted to share what is going on at Easy English over the next few months.We will, of course, be having our parties on a regular basis. Also, we will be trying to include some new courses for students this year. TOIEC and TOEFL are 2 courses we are thinking about.Also will be trying to organize a trip to Australia for students early next year.We will also be trying to update our software for easier on-line bookings towards the end of the year. And also a few other things. So look forward to that.Jay is going skiing at the end of the week, so I hope he gets plenty of snow, and has a great time.I am still building my house, as some of you know. I will post some pics when it is finished.Otherwise, I hope you are all having a great year. My daughter got influenza twice this year, poor thing, so I am hoping that there isn't any more sickness for awhile in my house.....sigh...So once again, that's for everybody's continued support, and look forward to seeing you soon!!!!John xxx

2010.12.17 FridayHi everybody!! Well, I guess it's time to get ready for Oshogatsu, and Xmas, etc. etc....First, I would like to thank everybody for supporting us in 2010! It was a great year for us, with many new students, and everybody studying hard...thank you!I would also like to thank Jay. He is my main man, and we wouldn't be here without him. He is truly my best friend!Also, thanks to all who came to the Xmas party last week. It was a great night, and all the new faces, it was great to meet you!!Also, please remember we will be closed on the following days for Xmas and the new year:December 23, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31January 1, 2, 3We will be back on the 4th of January 2011!! Wow! Already!Finally, a big happy birthday to my dad, Ray, who comes in on Sundays. 2010.08.05 ThursdayHi everybody!Sorry for taking so long to write. I am lazy at times, I know.So here we are in August already! And is it hot??
You bet! I have heard that this year is the hottest summer on record. I believe it. 
My head is burning every day, and I take a bath 3 times a day with my kids, just to cool off!Please remember we will be on holidays next Thursday (12th) Friday (13th) Saturday (14th) and Sunday (15th) We will also be closed on the 31st because I have to go to Australia with my Uni students, and I won't be here.. sorry. But there are 5 tuesdays this month, so it should be ok with everybody.Also, you might see Stephen (from Scotland) around EE. He is renting the small room for a little while. Make sure you say 'hi' if you see him.I also want to thank everybody who came to Jay's birthday party.
I know everybody had a great time. It was also great to see our youngest brother Ben, over here for a holiday. Thanks Benny!!I will try to put some pics up next week of the party and Ben. I hope everybody is ok in the heat. Try to drink lots of water!One of our new students, Miharu-chan, doesn't even have an Air-conditioner in her bedroom! 2010.04.20 TuesdayI know I haven't written for awhile, and I am sorry everybody.
This is the start of the school year for my family, and we have been busy getting into our new schedules. Luis is now going to Chuo Special school near Fukuoka dome, and Rhia has just started at her new Kindy, and Futaba.Both of them seem to be fitting in well. Luis is happy, and Rhia isn't crying, so that's a good thing...
At Easy English, we have also been busy welcoming many new students. It is always good to see new faces, and talk to new people, I think...This Saturday, the 24th, we are having our usual EE party. Too much good food, and lots to drink.
We will be having it this time at a Izakaya that is run by a friend of mine. It is called Iwakan, and we will be leaving EE at 8:30. Their specialty is basashi, and the best yaki onigiri that I have ever tasted. I would like to see many new faces there, so please give us a call, or write your name down when you come this week.I look forward to seeing everybody at the party, and we will take some good photos with Jay's camera, and put them on here asap!!Thanks everyone, and see you at EE!ps Please remember we will be closed for GW from the 29th of April till the 5th of May...Hope everybody has a good holiday!Bye for now!!John

2010.02.03 WednesdayHi everybody!Just a quick update today. The party has been changed to Saturday the 20th of February, due to some schedule problems...すみませんね！！The party is going to be held at Nalu Hawaiian restaurant in Daimyo. I think it will cost about ¥3500 with lots of food and drink. We will probably go somewhere after that, but we will see how long we stay at Nalu first.Please write you name down on the party sheet as soon as possible (ASAP) so I can give the restaurant a number of people coming. 友達も来ていいよ！！楽しいパーテイーしましょうね！！I look forward to seeing everybody there! 2010.01.30 SaturdayHi everybody! I haven't written for awhile.....sorry!!We are very busy this month. I would like to welcome all the new students to Easy English! I look forward to talking with you all soon!I am good. I have been busy at the University and Easy English, but Jay and I are going to join a gym next month....we want to start playing squash together. I haven't played for many years, so it will be fun to get into the court again...and beat Jay!
I haven't seen Avatar yet, and I really want to. I hope to go sometime next month. Jay tells me it's really good...did you like it? Let me know.In February, our friend Stephen, will be having a new baby, so look forward to that update.Otherwise, I am getting ready for my wife's birthday in February. I don't know what to get her yet.....I will have to get her something nice, but don't know what. I will let you know after the day!Nothing else to report at the moment. Hope everybody has a good week, and I'll post some new photos next week. Please remember that we are having our party next month (February) on the 27th. 2010.01.05 TuesdayHi everyone. Welcome to 2010!!
Today is very cold
and it is supposed to snow tomorrow...I hope everybody stays warm, and doesn't catch a cold!Sigh!!! I am 39 this year, and think I am starting to feel it!We all had a great holiday this year. We hope you did too! We are back now...What is your new year resolution? Mine is to try to have better parties at EE, and make sure everybody gets better at English!My family and I didn't do anything special over the holidays, but I ate and drank too much....I need to go on a diet again......
Would like to thank everybody for coming to the Christmas party in December...It was great to see so many new faces....particularly all the new guys! Welcome!!
We are not having a party this month, but will at the end of February. We will let you know where and when, but, as always, it will be good food, and toooooo much alcohol!Did you do your New year cleaning? I did mine on the 31st.....I cleaned my windows in the snow!
It was soooo cold, but I am finished now, and it looks nice and clean....at least until it rains again!I am going to go now, but I hope you all had a great break...did you get お年玉？？ I didn't......

2009.10.13 TuesdayHi everyone.Well, here we are in October already, and it looks as if this year is going to be another nice Autumn with cool breezes and nice sunny days
. Great for Tennis!!We are getting a lot of people signed up for the Halloween party
, and I'm sure it is going to be another great party! If you haven 't signed up yet, let us know as so as you can, and join us on the big night!! Jay and I are getting our costumes ready, and I'm sure you'll all think they are great!! If you want to know what we are wearing, you will have to join us on the night!!!In other news, we are getting ready to send our daughter Rhia to kindy from next April. Yuka and Rhia are visiting different Kindys nearly every day....I will let you know which one we decide early next month. Luis and Rhia are really having a good time recently. They don't fight too often, and play well together most of the time.....not all the time, but most is good enough!My university is having a festival this Saturday and Sunday (16th and 17th) My class is selling real American hot dogs, so if you want to come along, it would be good to see any of you there...It will be at 福岡こども保育短期大学. It is about 10 minutes walk from Nishitetsu Futsukaiichi station. Would love to see you there!I am getting ready for classes now, so I'll will have to go.
